MODULAR ATTENDANCE - ONE OR TWO WEEKS
We also offer the possibility of attending the LOTTE LEHMANN ACADEMY in modules of one or two weeks.
TWO WEEK MODULE A JULY 6 - 22, 2012 OR
TWO WEEK MODULE B, JULY 13 - 28, 2012
Participants will work intensively for two weeks with professionals from the foremost European and American opera houses to perfect their technique, style, diction and stage presence. The focus is on the in-depth study of arias, plus ensembles, scenes and roles.
Daily German lessons in small groups and geared to individual proficiency for all non-German-speaking participants are mandatory. All language instructors are native speakers.
One and two-week modules can be booked at two levels of intensity:
Level 1: Participants receive a minimum of three 55-minute voice lessons and three coachings with a pianist per week. They take part in all masterclasses, workshops, audition training, and any seminars and panel discussions with opera managers, directors and conductors.Instruction in stagecraft, diction, and bodywork (Yoga, Alexander Technique, and Feldenkrais) are also part of the program.
Level 2: Participants receive a minimum of three 55-minute units - either voice lessons and/or coachings with a pianist per week, plus 50% active participation in masterclasses, workshops, audition trainings and seminars, as well as instruction in stagecraft, diction and bodywork.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their work in at least two concerts at historical venues in Perleberg, the Prignitz region and the state of Brandenburg.
Tuition fee: 1.600 € (Level 1) or 1.000 € (Level 2).
ONE WEEK MODULE A JULY 6 - 15, 2012 OR
ONE WEEK MODULE B JULY 16 - 22, 2012
Participants will work intensively for one week with professionals from the foremost European and American opera houses to perfect their technique, style, diction and stage presence.
Daily German lessons in small groups and geared to individual proficiency for all non-German-speaking participants are mandatory.
Weekly scope of services for levels 1 and 2 is analogous to that of the two-week modules.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their work in one concert at a historical venue in Perleberg, the Prignitz region or the state of Brandenburg.
Photo sessions, demo recording sessions, and Italian and French lessons are NOT available for participants of the one week modules of the LOTTE LEHMANN ACADEMY.
Tuition fee: 1.000 € (Level 1), Level 2 is not available for the one-week module.
HOUSING
Participants will be staying at hotels and bed & breakfasts in the old town. All course facilities are within a five to ten minute walk of the housing facilities and of each other.
PERLEBERG (BRANDENBURG)
Halfway between Hamburg and Berlin lies the lovely town of Perleberg. It has a population of more than 12.000 inhabitants and is the district town of the Prignitz region in the Land (State) Brandenburg.
The town of Perleberg was founded more than 750 years ago and is situated in a beautiful natural landscape surrounded by old authentic villages. Its old town is surrounded by still partially intact medieval city walls and consists of beatifully preserved old houses, the Town Hall and the St Jacobi Church.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The deadline for applications to the modular one or two week program of the 4th Summer Session of the LOTTE LEHMANN ACADEMY is March 15, 2012. A 10% discount is offered to applicants who send their materials by February 15 and pay the full tuition fee by March 15, 2012.
